Ghosts of Hollywood

Created for the Carcinicore Zine (2000s style video game magazine for a fake console), this is an ad for a tactical RPG set in the golden age of Hollywood. Instead of a traditional adventuring party you hire a film crew, fighting ghosts both real and metaphorical. I wanted to make it look like it could’ve been a movie poster from the time period, specifically I ended up taking heavy inspiration from the works of Saul Bass and his posters for Vertigo, Anatomy of a Murder and West Side Story.

Two different draft designs for the poster. Originally I wanted to go with a design inspired more by the more painterly posters from the golden age of Hollywood with the actors front and center.
